For the past nine years, Ted and Esther Dean have developed and administered the highly successful church-based A Marriage Made in Heaven course that integrates the vital teachings from the Scriptures and provides clear practical solutions that have significantly enriched participants’ marriages. This ten-week intensive course enables students to self-discover and make permanent change to improve their marriages. Surveys indicate that more than ninety-five percent of students have “improved their marriages significantly.”
Ted has led a uniquely diversified life that reflects in his writing. He served twenty-eight years as a Navy Intelligence Officer. After naval service, Ted spent ten years as a Project Manager for advanced technologies for a Fortune Five Hundred corporation. He holds undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Business, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and Missions. Christian service includes five years as a self-supporting missionary to Japan, Mission Coordinator for New Life Churches (Tidewater Virginia), home group leader, and for the past nine years as a leader of a marriage ministry. Esther, who is a retired Critical Care and Case Management Registered Nurse, shares fully with Ted in their combined ministry that has included marriage ministry training for well over one-hundred pastors and church leaders in Nepal, and a medical mission to India. Their primary ministry is with local church congregations, where they currently administer the A Marriage Made In Heaven course, facilitate marriage classes, train and certify facilitators, and as well, mentor couples having difficulties or desiring help with their marriages.
Our Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
